Tom Holland was born Thomas Stanley Holland, on the 1st of June, 1996 England, London to be precise. His father Dominic Holland is a comedian while his mother Nicola Elizabeth is a photographer. His younger brothers Sam and Harry are twins.

Tome Holland attended Donhead Preparatory School in Wimbledon, Southwest London. From his high school days onward, Tom had a passion for entertainment, dance in particular. This prompted him to enroll in a dance class but was beset with a lot of discouragements from his peers for developing a liking for dance. 

He further attended Wimbledon college after graduating from high school in 2012. He also got enrolled in BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology where he was taught the various aspects of dancing and acting.

Through his enrollment in the school of performing arts and technology, BRIT, Tom Holland began mastering the art of dancing and became a prospective Entertainer. During the Richmond Dance Festival held in 2006, Tom Holland participated in dance and his performance caught the attention of Lynne Page, a choreographer from ‘Nifty Feet Dance School,’ who later took Tom under his tutelage having seen the great potential he had. 


On eight different occasions, Tom Holland was auditioned and later passed through a two years training which afforded him the opportunity of starring in a high school musical titled ‘Billy Elliot the Musical’ where he rose to prominence as a Theatre artist. 


After gaining some level of prominence in  the high school musical ‘Billy Elliot the Musical’, Tom Holland began starring in several TV shows. One is his first TV show was ‘The Feel Good Factor’ and he later performed the famous ‘angry dance’ at the premiere of the TVshow. Which also increased his popularity. 

Tom Holland got and invitation along with his colleagues who were casted in ‘Billy Elliot the Musical’ to 10 Downing Street to mark the fifth anniversary of the famous musical on the 8 of March, 2010. This gave Tom the opportunity to meet the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom then, by name Gordon Brown. 

Tom Holland’s film debut came in 2011 where he featured as a voice actor in a Japanese fantasy film titled ‘Arrietry’. He came into limelight in 2012 after starring in a critically acclaimed disaster drama film, ‘The Impossible’ which he starred along side popular acts such as Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor. 


The critical acclaim film ‘The Impossible’ recorded immense commercial success and was soon played at the ‘Toronto International Film Festival’. Tom Holland on his part was heavily praised for his amazing acting skills which he displayed while handling his role in the film.
