Current news on Coronavirus in Ghana indicates the addition of two(2) new cases of with 1 death, this leaves the existing case count in the country to be 20.
Coronavirus Deaths in Ghana
One of the patients, a 61-year-old Lebanese male trader and resident in Kumasi is said to have an underlying health problem, however, died in the Ashanti Region.
According to the Ghana Health Service, the deceased reported to a health facility in Kumasi with a fever and cough.
His temperature was 39.4 degrees Celcius.
At least three out of the 21 cases have been suspected to be community spread.
Ghana Health Service initially confirmed the number of cases had increased from 16 to 19 on 21st.
2. 84-year-old Ghanaian lady resident of the United Kingdom; came back to Ghana within the past two (2) weeks; developed symptoms and sample confirmed positive in the laboratory
3. 27-year-old Chinese male; returned to Ghana (Ashanti Region) in the past two weeks; developed symptoms and sample confirmed positive in the laboratory.
This brings to a total of nineteen (19) confirmed cases in Ghana, with no death. Contact tracing has started in all these confirmed cases.
