Kamalpreet Kaur was born to his father Kuldeep Singh on March 4,1996 on Kabarwala, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Punjab, India.
During her school days, Kaur used to stand out in athletics, so much so that his P.E teacher had to advise her to take up a career in athletics. She decided to listen to the advice of her Physical Education teacher and took up athletics seriously.
