How to Create A Transfer Pin on MTN
MTN like every other telecommunication network, comes with its default Pin, as such you can either decide to continue with the default Pin or you can decide to change to a new Pin, to change from default Pin to a new Pin follow the steps below;
- Send a text message with the text “Default Pin, new Pin, confirm new PIN” to 777
- You can also create a new Pin by simply dialing *600*default PIN*new PIN* to confirm new PIN#.
- As soon as the two above are done, you will receive a confirmation message stating that your change of Pin was successful.
How to Transfer Airtime on MTN
You can possibly transfer airtime on MTN network in two ways;
- Transfer by SMS by simply type“Transfer, recipients mobile number, amount of airtime you are sending, your transfer Pin” and then send to 777
- Transfer using USSD code, simply dial *600*recipients mobile number *airtime amount *transfer PIN#
If you happen to use any of the methods above, you will be sent a text confirms the transaction, and to reply simply type “Yes”. You will receive a text that the transaction was successful

- Airtime transfer on MTN comes with charges of not more than N10.
- You cannot transfer below N50
- You can transfer even up to NGN50, 000 or more per day and to more than one
- The number of transactions per day is unlimited.
- The default PIN is usually 0000 and its always dependent on the number of required digits.
