Ghana’s Covid-19 cases now stands at 204 as 02 April 14:oo Hours.
Ghana Health Service reports the confirmation of additional five cases in the Greater Accra region.
The number of regions with confirmed cases are still five.

Break Down of the Confirmed Cases
Most of the cases are reported from routine / enhanced surveillance activities.
Cases from travellers under mandatory quarantine remain 89.
Four (4) of them have no history of travel nor contact with any confirmed case
Other four (4) have no travel history but are contacts of confirmed cases in Ghana;
and one travelled to Ghana from Benin within the past 14 days.

The number of deaths still remain 5.
A total of 31 people have recovered from the covid-19 in Ghana. The Ghana Health service say they would be allowed to go out after some time. Meanwhile the 31 people have been discharged but are still under observation.

Covid-19 Cases in the World
There are currently over 950,667 and over 48,ooo deaths according to Worldometer report.
The coronavirus is affecting 203 countries and territories around the world and 2 international conveyances: the Diamond Princess cruise ship harbored in Yokohama, Japan, and the Holland America’s MS Zaandam cruise ship.
The novel coronavirus’ case fatality rate has been estimated at around 2%, in the WHO press conference held on January 29, 2020 [ . However, it noted that, without knowing how many were infected, it was too early to be able to put a percentage on the mortality rate figure.
A prior estimate had put that number at 3%.
Fatality rate can change as a virus can mutate, according to epidemiologists.
For comparison, the case fatality rate for SARS was 10%, and for MERS 34%.
China and South Korea have flattened their curves. Italy, Spain, Germany and the Netherlands have begun to flatten their curves.
